Faf Du Plessis reacts before PSL 5 playoffs. Faf Du Plessis will make his debut for Peshawar Zalmi in HBL PSL 2020.

He will also play his first ever match in HBL PSL. He hadn’t played any game for any PSL franchise before. This gonna be his first match.

“It’s great to be in Pakistan. The PSL standard is very good and to join a franchise that’s been successful is what you want and you want to go to a team that’s won trophies. I have come here hoping to play a part in us getting to final and winning a trophy,” according to Saj Saddiq Pakistan journalist, Faf Du Plessis said.

Peshawar Zalmi has won 1 PSL trophy till now in 2017. It was first ever final match in Pakistan. They won against Quetta Gladiators.

Islamabad United won first ever addition of HBL PSL 2016, Zalmi in 2017, Again Islamabad United in 2018. Guetta Gladiator in 2019. The winner of 2020 yet to be decided.

“I came to Pakistan as World XI captain and that was a special moment for me and I could see Pakistan fans were excited to see cricket back. We are now getting International cricket fully back in Pakistan and it’s good to see things back to how they were,” Faf Du Plessis further said.

As I mentioned it’s gonna be Faf Du Plessis’ first ever PSL match. He hasn’t played. Although some South Africa’s sensational players like Ab De Villiers have played already in PSL.

“It’s exciting for me to join a league for the first time that I haven’t been a part of. The PSL’s standard is really good and it’s good for me to come and test my skills in another tournament where you play against some top class Cricketers,” Faf Du Plessis further added.

Faf Du Plessis has come here straightaway from Dubai after playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020.
