PSL 6: Johan Botha Named as Islamabad United Head Coach

Johan Botha names as Islamabad United Head Coach for HBL PSL season 6.

As Pakistan Cricket Board has already announced the local picked players category this year, PSL 6 is already gearing up with some exciting news.

PSL 6 has already seen, Misbah ul Haq and Islamabad United has parted away for this season due to poor season last year. Misbah ul Haq had horrible year for the team last year as they finished at last for the first.

Couldn’t qualify to the playoffs for the first time as well in his coach. After some exciting news, Johan Botha has joined as Islamabad United Head Coach this year for PSL 6.

If news are to be true, PSL 6 is gonna start from 20th of February till 22nd of March upcoming year as draft will all be set in upcoming days.

Lahore and Karachi will host all the matches next year due to the restriction of current situation in the world.

“We are excited to announce Johan Both as our new Head Coach.

He was part of Islamabad United coaching staff in PSL 2 and has had great success in the CPL. Botha is delighted to be back at Islamabad United.

Welcome back to the Islamabad United family,” tweeted Islamabad United Twitter handle.

However some didn’t like the news as some people were expecting them to arrange someone even better than him.

Although Johan Botha has had wonderful season with Guyana as head coach and is active part of coaching in leagues around the world.

Islamabad United was placed at last position this year with poor performance, even though their captain Shadab Khan was announcing himself as best batsman in the tournament.

Shadab Khan has phenomenal tournament with the bat, somehow good with the ball. He was also brilliant as leader of the team but unfortunately his team couldn’t make into playoffs.
